"Hell-- Oh." Holden had opened the door with a friendly smile as always and now he was standing there, holding the door and staring at the erstwhile love of his life. The forever love of his life, really, something he mostly tried not to engage with too much. He swallowed, the smile not yet faltering entirely. This was awkward.

"Well." Surprise for them both, going by Felix's expression. "Unexpected, eh?"

His heart was beating so damn fast. "Look, just come in. We'll work it out from there, but the neighbours are nosy in these parts and at least I can get you something to drink inside."
